Over 8000 turbot released in Guldborgsund!
To fight of the invasive round Goby, we've released over 8000 turbot and 11000 fish larvae in 2022 in the Guldborgsund in southern Denmark. In total the project has released just below 30.000 turbot into the wild. The project is a collaboration betweeen the National Danish Aquarium - The Blue Planet, The University of Copenhagen, Roskilde University and Aquamind. The aim is to reestablish the ecological balance in the release area and improve the conditions for resident species.
