Espersen and McDonald’s develop low-impact fisheries in the Baltic Sea

Aquamind, Espersen and McDonald’s in collaboration have developed and tested new gear in the cod fishery (Gadus morhua) in the Baltic Sea. With pelagic trawl doors and dyneema-made trawl the project has shown an increase of 37% in the catch in weight per hour, a lower CO2 emission per catch and a potentially reduced physical impact of the seabed.
